Unit 3: Gases

Learning Objectives for Unit 3 is located here

Gases were arguably the first state of matter that early chemists explored and experimented with to better understand their properties and behavior. We begin our chemical studies like those came before us: with gases. Topics will include: properties of gases, gas relationships (combined gas law, ideal gas law), applications of the idea gas equation, gas mixtures and partial pressures, kinetic molecular theory of gases, and molecular effusion and diffusion.
