Often molecular and net ionic equations are written for precipitation reactions. 


The regular, full chemical equation known as the MOLECULAR EQUATION:


The COMPLETE IONIC EQUATION is the equation written above, but everything that is AQUEOUS is split into its TWO ions. 



The NET IONIC EQUATION is a version of the complete ionic, but this time anything that appears EXACTLY the same on both sides of the arrow is not included:
